Flint woman admits kicking woman who provoked her in Chester nightclub Cruise

A FLINT woman has been fined after she admitted kicking another woman in a Chester nightclub.

Claire Windsor, 34, of Prince of Wales Avenue, admitted carrying out the attack having been provoked and verbally abused twice by the victim, Michaela Hughes, in Cruise in the early hours of September 20.

Magistrates at Chester, Ellesmere Port and Neston Magistrates Court heard there had been a history of ‘bad blood’ between the two after Windsor had had an affair with Hughes’ father 12 months ago.

Windsor and Hughes were on separate nights out with friends and when Hughes saw Windsor walk past her on a flight of stairs in the nightclub, she shouted verbal abuse at her.

An argument ensued between the two groups before Windsor left. Later that night, the pair met again and Hughes shouted more abuse at Windsor, the court heard.

This time Windsor kicked out at Hughes, missing the first time but landing a kick the second time on the bottom of Hughes’ back, causing her to stumble and fall.

Windsor, who had three previous convictions for assault, was fined £100, plus £85 costs and a victim’s surcharge of £15.
