Ewloe friends to take on Three Peaks Challenge to raise awareness of prostate cancer
A GROUP of friends are determined to complete the arduous Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for the Everyman campaign.
After watching a friend suffer with prostate cancer, the seven friends from Ewloe made it their mission to raise £2,000 in support of the cause.
On May 29 the group – comprising Paul Ellis, 29, Andrew Purvis, 28, Ross Whitehead, 29, James Ryan, 27, Adam Wordsworth, 25 Dave Gamlen, 30, and Steve Roberts, 29 – will aim to scale Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in the Lake District and Snowdon in Wales, all within 24 hours.
Ross, 29, said: “We’re looking forward to it I just hope we’ll all be fit enough! We’ve been playing football quite regularly and we’ll go up Snowdon to train.
“It will be hard but we have no intention of quitting.”
