Peter William Jones, 24, was attacked at about 1am on Sunday on Precinct Way.

He suffered head injuries and died at the Countess of Chester Hospital yesterday afternoon.

A forensic examination was conducted at the scene and Precinct Way was cordoned off, but has now reopened to the public.

Two local men have been arrested and are still in police custody.

North Wales Police are now making an appeal for witnesses to come forward.

A spokesperson said: “We would be interested to hear from anyone who may have been in the vicinity of Precinct Way between 12.50-1am on Sunday and who may have information on this incident to contact North Wales Police on 101 at any time of day or night and in confidence.”
