POPULAR Mold band The Joy Formidable are continuing to take the music world by storm by announcing that not only will they be opening for Sir Paul McCartney on Saturday at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, they will also be performing at Glastonbury’s other stage the following morning.
The trio, made up of singer Ritzy Bryan, bass player Rhydian Dafydd and drummer Matt Thomas will then rush off on a whistle stop tour of Australia and America before ending the summer playing at Reading and Leeds Festivals on the Radio One stage.
The band describe their music as a sound that ‘melds the huge expanses of their native Mold countryside to the hectic nature of their new domicile London’ and say they are ‘happy and excited’ about their forthcoming gigs.
