FLINTSHIRE County Council has issued information on domestic waste collection over the Christmas period.
For the remainder of this week collections are as normal, but there will be no collections on Bank Holiday Monday or Bank Holiday Tuesday, December 27 and 28.
From Wednesday, December 29, to New Year’s Eve, there will be food waste collections only, with normal service resuming from January 3.
Food waste contained in biodegradable bags can be taken to any of the county’s eight recycling parks and placed in the skips provided.
These skips will be on-site from Boxing Day until Monday, January 3.
All recycling parks will be open every day from 8am-6pm (Saltney 9am-5pm), apart from Christmas Day.
Schedules may be affected in the event of bad weather, when collections could be curtailed or stopped.
Christmas trees can be taken to any of the council recycling parks.
All customers who bring trees to be recycled at these locations can enter into a free prize draw, with a first prize for each site of a £25 garden centre gift voucher.
