Shotton teenager facing prison sentence for arson offence

A TEENAGER has admitted arson, being reckless as to whether life would be endangered, following an incident on Deeside in December.

Defendant Lee Shane Gibbons, 19, of Rowden Street, has been remanded in custody pending sentence at Mold Crown Court in April .

He admitted damaging by fire carpets and a fire door at his flat, being reckless as to whether the lives of other occupants of the five bedsits in the building would be endangered.

Gibbons pleaded guilty before Judge Peter Heywood.

The judge said that it was clearly a serious offence and that a prison sentence was inevitable.
