Flint Sainsbury’s staff collect money and eggs for charity

STAFF and customers at Flint’s Sainsbury’s store had a busy few days.

One staff member took part in a charity bike ride on Easter Sunday (April 24) in aid of Save the Children.

Theresa Morris cycled 25 miles from Caernarfon to Bryncir and back and hoped to raise at least £150 to help fund programmes around the world to fight against child poverty.

To celebrate Easter, children took part in a card design competition, which was won by Serena Carnevale who took home an Easter hamper.

Staff from the company’s charity of the year CHICS – the Childrens’ Cancer Support Group – were also in-store to collect Easter eggs donated by customers.

Erica Handley, CHICS family liaison officer, said she was delighted with the support from the local community.

The donated eggs will be delivered to ill children in the area.

CHICS and Sainsbury’s Flint would like to thank generous customers for their support.
