ConvaTec UK, Deeside, holds launch event for Flintshire Business Week

DEESIDE-BASED medical technology firm ConvaTec played host to 52 delegates from 32 businesses at a launch event for Flintshire Business Week.

The company is sponsoring this year’s FBW exhibition, which will be held at its premises on Deeside Industrial Park on October 12-13 and is expected to attract at least 100 trade stands.

And, in preparation, ConvaTec played host to representatives from companies including Airbus, Toyota, West Coast Energy, Strateco, FibreSpeed, P&A Group and Parkway Telecom.

Jo Graham, ConvaTec’s director of operations in the UK, said: “ConvaTec is proud to be hosting this business exhibition, which is a first for Flintshire Business Week.

“As a company, we believe it’s important to work with the local community and share that experience with our employees.”

Cllr Matt Wright, Flintshire County Council’s executive member for regeneration and tourism, said: “October’s business exhibition is a new venture for Flintshire Business Week, which has grown over the years and is now being recognised as one of the top business events in the region.

“Flintshire is a county that is very much open for business and I believe that businesses are stronger when they work together.”
