Flintshire dancers take to stage at Clwyd Theatr Cymru, Mold
MEMBERS of a Deeside dance school took centre stage for their annual show.
The Hawarden-based Shirley School of Dancing performed Dancerama at Clwyd Theatr Cymru to a packed audience.
Dancers at the school learn ballet, tap, disco and modern stage from nine teachers and student teachers, and the show gave them the chance to show off their skills.
Shirley Snowden founded the school in June 1952. At the time it had 10 pupils at its base opposite the former Catherine Gladstone Maternity Hospital in Mancot.
Now Shirley has more than 200 dancers of all ages taking part lessons in at Hawarden Institute.
