CHILDREN from St Winefride’s Primary School in Holywell had the chance to find out how a council works.
Members of the school council from Year 1 up to Year 6 took part in a trip to County Hall in Mold, where they met council chairman Cllr Hilary McGuill.
Acting headteacher Sian Jones-Evans said: “The children gained an insight into how the chambers were used and were able to make the link between the council roles and the roles that they hold as part of the school council.
“The children found the visit very worthwhile and it enthused them for their own council work back in school.”
