FLINTSHIRE Big Brother contestant Luke Anderson is past the halfway point in the reality TV show – and second favourite to win.
The Mynydd Isa chef, who was born Laura, received no nominations from fellow housemates this week.
According to bookmaker Ladbrokes the odds on the former Hawarden High School pupil winning the show are 4/1 – making him joint second favourite with pal Adam Kelly.
For the last week contestants have been split in to two teams, the greens and the blues, and had to battle to gain control of different areas of the house.
After losing the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom Luke’s team, the blues, were forced to sleep on camp beds in the task room and eat only basic rations.
Luke won the Diary Room challenge for the team – winning them the right to nominate – but they were the disqualified from the task after it was revealed some of his teammates had been discussing nominations and the green team were the only housemates to vote.
Luke has been attracting support from some celebrity fans on social networking site Twitter.
Former Big Brother winner Josie Gibson wrote: “How lush is Luke A. Such a sweetheart.”
And former celebrity contestant and glamour model Nicola McLean replied to a tweet from Luke’s wife Becki saying how proud she was of her husband.
Nicola wrote: “And so you should be he is fab.”
