Free kite festival in Bagillt this weekend

FAMILIES from across Flintshire are being invited to take part in Bagillt’s fourth annual kite festival.

The event takes place in Bettisfield from 10.30am-3.30pm on Sunday.

Last year’s festival was a big success, with more than 60 people turning out.

And Bagillt councillor Mike Reece said he hoped the event this weekend would be ‘bigger and better’ than ever.

He said: “Last year we had a really good day. This year the weather forecast isn’t so good, but fingers crossed we will get some sunshine and the rain will stay away.

“This is a popular event in Bagillt and the kids really enjoy it. I hope lots of families will come along and support it.”

Visitors are invited to take a picnic and kite or buy one on the day. The event is free.
