YOUNGSTERS have been getting hands-on experience of the world of work at Hawarden Estate Farm Shop.
Hawarden High School pupils Alice Russell, Callum Sullivan and Sam Toye, all 15, and 14-year-old Miriam Ward of will spend two weeks working in the award-winning shop and at Hawarden Estate’s recently reopened pub The Glynne Arms.
General manager of the farm shop and pub, Alan Downes, said: “We’re pleased to encourage and support young people and it’s great to have them here, especially when they are keen to learn a trade and develop their knowledge.
“Sam is very interested in butchery and Miriam in bakery, and Alice and Callum are enjoying learning how varied the roles can be in a business such as this.”
