HEAVY rain and floods have not affected the ongoing search for Catherine Gowing, police said this week.
Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Mark Pierce said the hunt for the 37-year-old vet’s body has focused on two areas.
“Searches for Catherine Gowing continue and fortunately the teams have not been affected by the recent spate of inclement weather,” said DCI Pierce.
“Searches this week have focused on relatively small contained areas of water in the Sealand and Buckley areas.
“There have been no significant developments, however I am keen for anyone with information to call North Wales Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
Catherine, from New Brighton, was last seen alive when she was captured on CCTV leaving Asda Queensferry on October 12, at 8.40pm.
Human remains found in two areas of Sealand earlier this month were both identified as hers, and Clive Sharp, 46, of Bethesda, Gwynedd, has been charged with murder.
Former Deeside High School pupil Sharp, originally from Sealand, is in custody and expected to enter a plea to the charge in January.
