Olympic legend Steve Redgrave provides introduction to rowing to Chester schools

THE Redgrave Institute organised an Introduction to Rowing event for students from Blacon, Hartford and Queen’s Park High Schools.

The event took place at Queen’s Park High School Boathouse on the River Dee and was the first of what will hopefully become a programme of events organised by The Redgrave Institute to introduce rowing in schools across Cheshire West and Chester.

Among the many rowing coaches who gave their time to support the students on the day was Sir Steve Redgrave.

Students were particularly delighted to get the opportunity to row on the river with Sir Steve and receive a certificate of participation from him at the end of the day.
