Police release fresh information to fatal crash in Drury

NORTH Wales Police are renewing an appeal for witnesses to a fatal crash in Drury.

Carl Limbert, 38, from Queensferry, was killed when the motorcycle he was riding crashed on Mount Pleasant Road at around midday on Sunday, December 23.

A 32-year-old man, who was arrested on Sunday, January 6 on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, has been released on bail while investigations continue.

Mr Limbert’s motorcycle was a distinctive red, green and white Aprilia 125cc model displaying L plates, and was seen travelling along Mold Road, Ewloe and numerous roads in Buckley, including Liverpool Road, Brunswick Road, Church Road, Linthorpe Road, Knowle Lane and Drury Lane, Buckley shortly before the collision.

The motorcycle had a distinctive sound due to the two-stroke engine and Mr Limbert was wearing a distinctive silver mirrored finish helmet with green writing on the back.

Police now believe the motorcycle was travelling in convoy with a dark BMW 5 Series estate and at some locations may have been travelling in excess of the speed limit.

The BMW is believed to be the model 5 Series estate with privacy glass to the rear windows.
