Perfume worth £3,000 stolen from Flint pharmacy

BURGLARS broke into a Flint pharmacy through the roof and stole thousands of pounds worth of perfume.

Police are appealing for information following the incident which took place at Lloyds Pharmacy in Church Street sometime overnight between Thursday and Friday (January 10/11).

The incident was reported to North Wales Police on Friday after the shop manager was alerted to the break-in in the early hours of the morning.

Neighbourhood policing sergeant John Williams said the offenders smashed roof tiles to gain entrance to the property.

Once inside a glass cabinet containing the perfume was smashed.

Sgt Williams confirmed that 132 bottles of perfume valued at about £3,000 were taken during the raid.

Sales assistant Sue Roberts told the Chronicle that the shop manager arrived at the pharmacy at about 3.10am after the alarms went off.

She said: “There was smashed glass everywhere and a big hole in the ceiling of the staff room.”

Sgt Williams added: “If anyone saw anybody acting suspiciously in the area or is approached about buying the perfume we would urge them to contact North Wales Police on 101.”
