Wood Memorial Primary School, Saltney, closed

SALTNEY Wood Memorial Primary School remains closed to all pupils on Monday (January 10) as work continues to repair damage caused by a burst water pipe.

But while the school will stay closed for nursery pupils until at least next Monday, January 17, arrangements have been made for classes to take place for other year groups from tomorrow (Tuesday, January 11).

St David’s High School has offered a spare room for pupils to be taught, so youngsters in Mrs Broome’s class will be taught there by staff from Wood Memorial Primary.

Parents are to be contacted with further details.

Pupils in Years 1 and 2 will be taught in the early years unit and should arrive at Wood Memorial via that door.

Classes taught by Miss Ramsey and Mrs Lloyd will be held in the hall and pupils should arrive at the school via the main entrance.

There will be no breakfast club running this week.

More details are available in a letter which can be collected at Wood Memorial from today.

Details are subject to change depending on work being completed. For updates and details of other school closures check www.flintshirechronicle.co.uk throughout the week.
