Football: High-scoring draw for Hawarden Rangers

THE goals were flying in at both ends when Hawarden Rangers hosted FC Cefn in the Welsh National League on Saturday.

An exciting clash finished 3-3, leaving Rangers lodged mid-table in the Premier Division.

Mold Alexandra are fourth from bottom after going down 2-0 at Gresford Athletic.

In Division One, table-topping Penyffordd marched on.

They picked up a 4-2 victory at Saltney Town, who have slipped down to fifth.

New Brighton claimed a 1-0 home victory in their derby with Buckley Town.

In the Reserves Division, Airbus UK raced to a 10-2 victory at home to lowly Gresford Athletic.

Title rivals Penycae, who are second, thumped Llangollen Town 11-0.

It was a different story at Borras Park Albion, where Hawarden Rangers came away with a 0-0 draw.

Castell Alun hauled themselves off the foot of the table with a 3-0 home success over Coedpoeth United.

In the Reserves & Colts section, Saltney Town won 3-2 at Acrefair and there was no stopping leaders Airbus UK – 6-3 winners at Ruthin Town.

New Brighton won 4-2 at Penyffordd.
