THE title race remains as close as ever in the Welsh National League as top side Rhydymwyn scored a 2-1 win over visiting Coedpoeth.
Chris Guy and Tom Evans got Rhyd back on the winning trail, and just in time as MOLD ALEX beat basement side Johnstown 3-0 to remain only one point behind the league leaders.
Dean Hughes, Jack Abrahams and skipper Anthony Mee scored to keep the Alex in the hunt.
HAWARDEN RANGERS maintained their title hopes with a 2-1 victory over Brickfield Rangers, Charlie McDade scoring twice for Hawarden.
