DEESIDE Ice Skating Club’s Louise Walden and Owen Edwards take on Britain’s premier ice-dancing duo tomorrow in the British Figure Skating Championships in Sheffield.
The Flintshire pair will go up against brother and sister John and Sinead Kerr after the Scottish couple, who have won the last seven British Championships, put off their retirement to compete again.
But Walden and Edwards are in fine form after winning the Welsh Open, the Ice Challenge in Graz, Switzerland, and the Lyon International Trophy last week.
Welsh Open champion Katie Powell, who also trains at Deeside Ice Rink, will also compete tomorrow.
