Rugby league: Crusaders bid for future in Super League as Hull KR leave them in negative points

CRUSADERS have submitted their Super League application this week as coach Iestyn Harris tries to resolve their battle for form.

The Engage Super League’s cycle of application is in full swing with clubs outside the league having already applied for three-year membership.

All clubs must submit cases and Crusaders are the first current member club to do so.

On Saturday Crusaders failed to get out of minus points at Hull KR as they fell behind 40-0 before rallying for a late fightback to lose 40-22.

Crusaders were without Gareth Thomas due to a family matter.
