SHOTWICK Lake Sailing Club is holding an open day on Saturday, June 4 where visitors can try their hand at a variety of watersports.
Non-members are welcome to the club, based on zone four of Deeside Industrial Estate, between 11am-4pm to try their hand at sailing and windsurfing.
An on-shore windsurfing simulator will allow you to try the sport without getting wet and there will also be shore-based competitions for juniors, Royal Yachting Association training information, a dinghy cruising display, Flint Inshore Lifeboat demonstration and an RNLI stand.
The day is open to everyone for free and no sailing experience is necessary.
Shotwick Lake Sailing is a registered charity and is located adjacent to Deeside Industrial Estate.
The club has an active racing program from March to December and its training programmes, from complete beginner to expert, are RYA approved.
The club is also recognised by the RYA as a Volvo Champion Club due to the high standard of its youth training pathways and facilities.
