Running: Charlie Hulson helps Team GB win bronze on European Cross Country Championships debut

CHARLIE Hulson played his part as Great Britain and Northern Ireland’s junior team secured third place in the European Cross-Country Championships in Hungary on Sunday.

Hulson, the 19-year-old former Deeside AAC athlete from Rhosesmor, earned his first GB selection for the Euros in Budapest, Hungary.

And the Sale Harrier made a vital contribution to the GB team’s success, finishing 24th overall to become the junior team’s final scoring finisher and push them into third spot.

Battling the freezing cold his teammates Kieran Clements (3rd), Charlie Grice (9th) and Ian Bailey (18th) ensured the team finished just behind winners Russia and runners-up France.
