Holywell man charged with attempted murder of his wife

A HOLYWELL has been remanded in custody on a charge of attempting to murder his wife.

Robert Michael Robinson, 61, of Maes yr Afon, appeared at a special magistrates court at Mold on Saturday.

He is charged with attempting to murder his wife Susan Robinson on Friday.

It is alleged that she was struck across the head with an iron bar and later underwent surgery in hospital.

Prosecutor Susan Duncombe applied for a remand in custody.

Lionel Greggs did not apply for bail and Robinson was remanded in custody to appear at a preliminary hearing at Mold Crown Court on Friday, April 8.
