Four from Connah’s Quay accused of heroin importation and money laundering

FOUR members of the same family will appear in court charged with conspiracy to import class A drugs into the UK and money laundering.

A series of search warrants were carried out by North Wales Police in Flintshire on Friday in relation to an investigation into the supply of heroin.

As a result Margaret Rose Calvert, 62, and Richard Giuseppe Calvert and Simon Ian Lee Calvert, both 37, all of Bryn Road, Connah’s Quay, have been charged with the importation of heroin and money laundering and will appear before Wrexham magistrates this morning (Monday).

Maria Calvert, 34, of Foel Gron, Bagillt, will also appear before the court. A 66-year-old man from Nercwys has been bailed pending further enquiries.
