Airbus Broughton fundraisers get on their bikes to help Multiple Sclerosis Society

CHARITABLE Airbus employees got on their bikes to raise £4,200 in aid of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The 65-strong team peddled from Liverpool to Chester earlier this year in pouring rain, before meeting at the Airbus sports field for a celebration barbecue with families.

Lee Hunt, A350 equipping launch process manager, one of the organisers of the event, said: “It was one of those ideas that grew and grew as more people volunteered to take part.

“The initial target was £2,000, and raising more than double that amount has filled us with a sense of pride and achievement.”

Iestyn Evans, MS Society Wales fundraising manager, said: “We are delighted Airbus employees invested so much effort in increasing awareness of MS, as well as raising thousands of pounds which will help provide specialist information, support and world-leading research for everyone affected by the condition.”
