Bilingual art project celebrates seasons at Rhydymwyn Valley Nature Reserve

A GROUP of Welsh artists have made a wall hanging to celebrate autumn at Rhydymwyn Valley Nature Reserve.

Artist Dee Rivaz said: “Rhydymwyn Valley is the most fantastic place to conduct art workshops as you are surrounded by such inspiring beauty.

“Over the course of the workshops we observed trees turning from green to gold and it was this kaleidoscope of colour which inspired us to make our wall hanging.

“There is a real rainbow of colours.

“Each square also depicts a word in Welsh and English. As the artists are all learning Welsh, we felt it was important for the wall hanging to be bilingual, and we had plenty of time to practise speaking Welsh as we sewed!”
