Ysgol Pen Coch, Flint, holds Christmas card competition

CHILDREN at Flint special school Ysgol Pen Coch have been competing to make the best Christmas card.

Year 6 pupil Kieran Vernon’s design was voted the best in school by pupils and was made into the school’s official Christmas card.

Teacher Suzie Rush said: “Children in all classes made fantastic cards and it was really difficult to select just one winner from each class to receive prizes and certificates.

“Parents and friends of the school have been very supportive and the cards very quickly sold out.”

Money from the sale of cards will go towards funds to buy a specialist bed for four-year-old pupil Kyle Berry, who has a severe and rare form of epilepsy.

For more information on donating to the fund, call the school on 01352 792731.
