Teenager involved in crash in Trelawnyd near Holywell

POLICE are appealing for information after a 16-year-old boy was hit by a car in Flintshire.

The pedestrian was involved in a road traffic collision on the main road in Trelawnyd just before 7.30am on Friday (February 4).

Sergeant Gwyndaf Jones said North Wales Police is wants to speak to anyone who may have been in the centre of the village near the school and the crossing at the time and witnessed the collision.

He said: “We are now appealing for information and we are looking for a silver vehicle which we understand was involved in the collision.

“Fortunately the boy was not seriously injured, but we are keen to track down the car involved.”
