Bagillt schoolboy in hospital after car crash

AN 11-YEAR-old boy is in a critical condition after suffering head injuries following a car crash in Bagillt.

Emergency services were called to High Street at 5pm yesterday (Monday) after reports a grey Ford Ka was in collision with the schoolboy near The Blossoms pub.

He was taken by ambulance to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd, but later transferred to The Walton Centre in Liverpool for emergency surgery.

A North Wales Police spokeswoman said today his condition is described as critical but stable.

The 51-year-old male driver was uninjured. It is believed the driver and the boy are both from Bagillt.
