Emergency services called to crash on A55 at Northop

EMERGENCY services were called out after a one-vehicle crash on the A55.

A spokeswoman for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the accident happened between junctions 32 and 33 of the westbound carriageway near Northop at 2.55pm today (Wednesday).

A woman was cut free from the car by firefighters from Holywell and Flint after it landed upside down in the central reservation.

She is currently being treated at the Countess of Chester Hospital, but North Wales Police said the injuries were not thought to be serious.
