Thousands flock to ‘best ever’ Mold Food Festival

THOUSANDS of foodies flocked to Mold for one of the region’s biggest culinary events.

The county town played host to its hugely popular annual food and drink festival this weekend, which saw a guest appearance from celebrity chef Jean Christophe Novelli.

The Michelin award-winning chef performed a demonstration of his skills yesterday (Sunday), the second and final day of the festival, which is now in its sixth year.

Event publicist Carolyn Poole said this year’s had been the best ever, with about 12,500 visitors over the weekend.

She added: “Jean Christophe has been a big hit especially – with the ladies – and his demonstrations were packed with people.

“The music was excellent and we have been blessed with good weather.”
