Action sought over Saltney potholes

ACTION is being sought to tackle problematic potholes in Saltney.

The rear of the houses on Leyland Drive and the back of Chester Road have seen a number of potholes spring up following cold weather.

As the potholes are on unadopted land, Flintshire County Council is not obliged to have to repair them.

Saltney mayor Richard Lloyd put forward a motion at last Wednesday’s town council meeting to obtain £100 to pay for repairs.

He said: “I went around there with Cllr Rob Lythe and the path is filled with potholes.

“We will need £100 to pay for materials.”

The issue was deferred until next month’s meeting to get views from residents affected.
