Football: Rhydymwyn end FC Cefn’s unbeaten run

RHYDYMWYN ended FC Cefn’s unbeaten record in the Welsh National League Premier Division as they claimed a 2-1 victory.

Cefn took the lead in the first half but a fightback from Rhyd saw Stuart Hayes and Dan Drazdauskas seize the points and end Cefn’s run.

In-form HAWARDEN RANGERS ripped up the form book as they beat Coedpoeth United 5-1 away from home.

Danny Sullivan bagged a hat-trick with Tom Owen and Charlie McDade completing the rout.

MOLD ALEX nicked a 2-1 win over visiting PENYFFORDD at the death.

Nathan Lavender put Peny in front early on and they held the lead until the 89th minute when Dean Hughes restored parity for the Alex.

With three minutes of injury time added on Graham Long grabbed the winner in the final minute.
