Junior football: Broughton Super Saints suffer defeat at home to Buckley Town

BUCKLEY Town inflicted a 5-2 defeat on Broughton Super Saints in the Queensferry Sports Flintshire Youth and Junior League under 12s.

Saints (Joe Salisbury, George McCready) were outgunned as Town (Mathew Perry 3, Lewis Musgrave, Luke Woolley) won through.

Connah’s Quay Tigers (Dylan Higgins 2, Leon Brick 2, Jake Griffiths Owen Brown 2) lost 8-7 to Shotton Steel (Sam Edwards, Jake Halliwell Mitchell Cresswell, Rhys Bennett, Ryan Jones) while Flint Town (Leon Beck 2, Owain Edwards, Jordan Johnson 3, og) beat Mold Sparks (Sean Mason) 7-1. Mynydd Isa lost 2-1 at home to Hawarden Rangers (Lewis Jones 2) and Mold Dragons (Connor Hughes, Dominic McHugh 3, James Burrows) edged Holywell 5-4 (Ben Sim, Callum Pritchard, Josh Edwards, Lewis Marshall).

In the U13s Hawarden Rgrs (A Deeley 2, J Whitehead, F Evans, H Brownbill, A Crawford, C Smith) defeated Saltney 7-2 (C McKay, T Willis).

Flint Town (Dylan Roberts) beat Halkyn Utd 1-0 and Broughton Super Saints (Arron Turner, Jack Nadin) won 2-1 at Holywell (Kyle Davies). Broughton SS Boro (D Shaw, F Keay, H Edwards 2, J Davies, N Griffiths) had a 6-0 win over Flint Town Colts, Mold Hornets (James Norbury, James Preston) lost 5-2 to Mynydd Isa Young Guns (A Hawkins 3, R Griffiths 2).

Shotton Steel (A Mathieson, J Dodd 3, L Jones, N Mendosa 2) beat Buckley Town 8-2 (C Bellis, K Frost).
