A 2-0 DEFEAT dealt a blow to Holywell Town’s Welsh Alliance title hopes.
Pwllheli were the visitors in Division One and they had the measure of their hosts, a goal in each half for Declan Williams and Danny Rylance proving decisive.
The result leaves the Wellmen in third, trailing leaders Holyhead Hotspur by four points although the Flintshire outfit has a game in hand.
CONNAH’S QUAY TOWN’S bid to finish in mid-table was also set back by defeat in Division Two.
They played host to Penmaenmawr Phoenix and were on the wrong end of a 1-0 result.
Scott Williams scored the goal which kept Quay second from bottom.
At the bottom of the table, with no hope of rising up the ladder, are Halkyn United.
With just four points won in 2011/12, United are marking time in the league as the season winds down.
Their latest result was another home defeat, 3-1 at the hands of Llanrwst.
Simon Brown, Luke Appleton and Liam Jones had already put the game beyond doubt when, with five minutes remaining, Sam Scott popped up with a strike for United.
