Ice hockey: Flintshire U14s target perfect season with one game remaining

WITH the EIHA U14s North Two title within their grasp, Flintshire under 14s needed to maintain their composure and see off Coventry in their penultimate game of the season at Deeside Ice Rink.

Boasting an 11-0 unbeaten record and standing six points clear at the top, Flintshire needed two more victories to secure the title.

The Coventry squad was big and tried to match Flintshire physically but, ultimately, came off worst.

Sam Krempasky grabbed himself nine goals and while Coventry snatched a consolation on a 5-3 powerplay, Flintshire remained in control to take one more step to an unbeaten season.
