Football: Ian Rush presents Wales caps to Hawarden’s international stars

A TRIO of international footballers from Hawarden High School have received their caps from a Flintshire football legend.

The FAW invited all players who had represented Wales Under 16s to a presentation evening at the Parc Hotel in Cardiff.

Boys and girls were recognised alongside each other and Hawarden had representatives in both camps.

Caps were awarded to Year 11 pupil Gemma Jackson and Year 10 students Danielle Oates and Michael Williamson.

They received their caps from Flintshire’s most famous footballing son, former Liverpool striker Ian Rush.
