Football: Flint Town United to lead Wembley team parade at Community Shield

FLINT Town United’s under 9s will be the envy of football clubs across the country when they take part in the team parade at this year’s FA Community Shield.

On Saturday at Wembley Stadium the Silkmen will lead an on-pitch parade while Manchester City and Manchester United line up to play each other in front of 90,000 fans.

The opportunity was offered to Flint Town by McDonald’s franchisee Stewart Williams from Wrexham, who has sponsored the club since 2009.

“I’m incredibly proud to be able to offer Flint Town the opportunity to walk out at Wembley,” he said. I hope they have a fantastic time.”
