Flintshire Junior & Youth League: Hawarden and Penyffordd neck-and-neck at top of U16s Division

THERE is no separating Hawarden and Penyffordd at the top of the Queensferry Sports Flintshire Junior & Youth League Under 16s Division.

Hawarden won 6-0 at home to Holywell Town Juniors on Saturday with goals from Connor Arrowsmith (3), Hekder Ramos (2) and Ricky Wilson.

Penyffordd matched that scoreline at home to Connah’s Quay Tigers, David Stewart, Henry Calver and Jarrad Carey (2) and Aaron Hassell (2) the scorers.

Mostyn Dragons also enjoyed a 6-0 success, away to Mold Alex courtesy of efforts from Dillon Garner, Jon Edmunds,Josh Robertson and Sam Ellis.

Mynydd Isa Coyotes (D Davies, A Avery) broke their duck, winning 2-1 at home to Flint Town Juniors (Ryan Pearce).

Shotton Steel were the big winners in the Under 14s Division on Saturday.

Andrew Matthieson, Kai Oldfield, Nathan Mendosa, Gareth Waud, and Iwan Roberts shared the strikes in their 10-0 triumph at Buckley Town Juniors.

But Shotton remain second behind Flint Town Juniors, who won 2-1 at home to Broughton Super Saints with a brace of goals from Matthew Gilsennan.

Mold Alex Knights (Callum Wellings, Morgan Edwards, Tim Melia) will be pleased with their 3-3 draw at Hawarden Rangers (Alec Walsh, Harry Brownbill, Alex Deeley).

Mold Alex Hornets (David Jones, James Pritchard-Wood) won 2-0 at home to Holywell Town Juniors.

Broughton Super Saints Boro (Joseph Henry 2, Joseph Davies, OG) are up and running after winning 4-1 at home to Flint Town Colts (Bradley Davies).

Mynydd Isa Young Guns won 3-0 at home to Halkyn United Juniors.
