Football: Mynydd Isa Young Guns’ aim is true as they defeat Mold Alex Knights

MYNYDD Isa Young Guns were locked and loaded as they welcomed Mold Alex Knights in the only match to go ahead in the Queensferry Sports Flintshire Junior and Youth League U14s.

The Gunners blasted their way to a 3-0 victory thanks to a double salvo from Alex Hawkins and a Liam Davies strike.

Shotton Steel played host to Mold Alex in the U15s and secured an impressive 3-0 victory.

Two from Chris Inskip and a solitary Ieuan Rowe effort were enough to seal the points for the Steel.

Mynydd Isa Devils travelled to Ysceifiog Wolves and came away with a 4-1 win.

Rhys Jones, Leon Forder, Nathan Williams and Callum Webber ensured the Devils claimed the points as Harri Williams got the Wolves’ only goal.

Joe Jones earned a point for Connah’s Quay Tigers as they drew 1-1 at Mynydd Isa Coyotes in the U16s.

But the big winners were Penyffordd, who cruised to a 10-0 victory over Holywell Town Juniors.

Hat-tricks from both Aaron Hassell and Jarred Carey set Peny on their way and David Stewart struck twice, Rhys Lloyd and Will Hughes completing the scoreline.
