Boxing: Newly affiliated Deeside ABC put on boxing show

FIGHT fans are urged to come out and show their support for Flintshire’s newest boxing club.

Deeside ABC is preparing to hold its first show since earning affiliation to the Welsh Amateur Boxing Association at the Buckley Academy on Mold Road tomorrow night.

And the show promises to be a bombastic affair as the club looks to put itself firmly on the burgeoning Flintshire boxing map.

The bill will feature some of the best young fighters in the county as well as competitors from across north and south Wales and the north west of England.

John Davies, the boxing stalwart who set up Deeside ABC, is particularly looking forward to the bout between his own Jack Hamilton and Shotton ABC’s Adie Hodson.

John said: “The two went head-to-head at Connah’s Quay Civic Hall a couple of weeks ago and it was one of the best amateur fights I’ve ever seen.”

Doors open at 7pm with boxing getting underway at 8pm.

Tickets are selling fast so to avoid disappointment call John on 01244 630 582 or 078474 29757.

Standard tickets are £12.50 each, VIP tickets just £15.
