SAM Jones fired Holywell Town to victory in the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance on Saturday.

He struck on 15 and 28 minutes before Tony Roebuck made it 3-0 to the hosts.

In Division Two, Greenfield ended all square with visitors Connah’s Quay Town.

Lee Taylor fired the home side into a 1-0 lead on 35 minutes but the Quay hit back to lead 2-1 thanks to goals by Lewis Powell (56) and Robert Raggett (62).

Eight minutes from time, Mark Pritchard earned a point for Greenfield to seal a 2-2 draw.

The focus this weekend turns to the cups, with Holywell Town hosting Gresford Athletic in round four of the Welsh Trophy.

In the Barritt Cup, Connah’s Quay Town are at home to Llanrwst United and Greenfield play host to Nefyn United. Halkyn United, of Division Two, face a tricky first round tie away to Gwalchmai of Division One.
