Police at the scene of an incident at a flat in Shotton
A MAN has been stabbed, and a woman suffered facial injuries at a flat in Higher Shotton.
Police officers and forensic teams were outside the property on North Street this morning.
A 22-year-old man has been arrested, and is currently being held at Wrexham police station on suspicion of attempted murder.
The injured man suffered injuries to his body. Neither he or the woman are thought to be in a life threatening condition.
A neighbour, who did not want to be named, said: "At about 8.30am we were woken up by banging noises, as if people were fighting, and a woman screaming ‘Get off him’.
"It has shaken us up, my heart was going and I didn’t want to look outside."
Another neighbour said he believed the man had been stabbed.
One neighbour said she saw a young girl in a police car outside the property.
She said: "It was all quiet this morning, then I went into the back of the house and when I came back all the police cars were outside the house.
"The ambulance was round the corner on Allans Close for quite a while.
"It is a real shock."
