Flintshire business leaders meet Deputy First Minister

FLINTSHIRE businesspeople were among members of the North Wales branch of the Institute of Directors (IoD) to update Deputy First Minister Ieuan Wyn Jones on business conditions in the region.

The meeting also included a briefing by the minister about the latest developments in the Welsh Assembly Government’s economic renewal programme.

The event was the latest in a series set up between the IoD in North Wales and the minister to enable discussions between the Assembly department responsible for the economy and employers.

IoD members and its guests present included Tracy North of Outwrite PR, Mold, and Paul Maddocks of Parkway Telecom, Saltney.

IoD North Wales chairman Steve Donnelley said: “These discussions are invaluable as they give local business people direct access to the Minister and staff responsible for the economy.”

Mr Wyn Jones said: “One of the key objectives of our One Wales programme of government is to ensure prosperity for all parts of Wales – with the aim of drawing together all parts of our nation.”
