THE Cone Nebula sometimes called the Christmas tree cluster is a fitting image for the festive season.
Located in the constellation of Monoceros As well as the Cone Nebula this image also shows the fox fur Nebula and the Christmas tree cluster and makes for a spectacular grouping.
The image was taken using a 8" Newtonian reflector and a Canon 100d DSLR camera and sent in by John Mellor.
