Carols for ChildLine concert a charitable success at Holywell church

A CHARITY concert held in Holywell hit all the right notes for a good cause, despite the terrible weather.

The Carols for ChildLine concert in St David’s Church, Pantasaph, featured performances from the Holywell Band and a reading from Delyn MP David Hanson.

Folk group Gan Ainm also played, including a solo performance from didgeridoo player Philip McGovern. Collectively, they got the congregation singing While Shepherds Watched to the tune of On Ilkla Moor Bah T’at.

Chris Baglin was the compère for the evening.

The collection raised £470, which included a cheque from the band and a generous donation from a vet in Greenfield.
