North Clwyd Animal Rescue, Flintshire, needs volunteers for Christmas day walk

AN ANIMAL rescue charity is calling on volunteers to help make Christmas special for dozens of pets who don’t have a home.

North Clwyd Animal Rescue in Trelogan, near Holywell, has launched its Christmas Dinner Appeal to provide tasty treats for the animals staying there.

The dogs get treated to a roast turkey dinner, cosy blanket, new toys and a special treat to chew on in the evening.

And the cats have a fish or turkey dinner and new toys.

Even the rabbits get a special vegetable selection to munch on – and warm hay.

Anyone who wants to make a donation can visit www.ncar.org.uk or call 01745 560546.

Volunteers are also needed to take part in a festive walk with the animals on Christmas day. Staff and volunteers will set off at about noon. Mince pies and mulled wine will be provided.

Call 01745 560546 before you visit.
