Everton FC hosts junior skills sessions for youngsters at Broughton Shopping Park

YOUNG footballers have the chance to improve their soccer skills this weekend.

Everton in the Community will be at Broughton Shopping Park on Saturday.

Children will get to take part in skills sessions, face painting and competitions. And Everton FC mascot Changy the elephant will also be putting in an appearance.

Shoppers will get the chance to buy Everton merchandise at the event, which is raising funds for the Blues’ official charity.

Fundraising manager for Everton in the Community Rowena Finn said: “All the proceeds from the day will be invested into the vital programmes Everton in the Community delivers to help improve the lives of people living in Flintshire and beyond.”

Colin Gilligan, manager of Broughton Shopping Park, added: “We are very proud to have been selected to partner Everton in the Community at this important event.”

The event runs from 1-4pm.
